报告摘要：

Professor Choo has contributed directly to offshore engineering practice since early 1990s through research and development, and provision of expert advice to construction and installation of fixed and floating offshore structures.   His research team has investigated the complex responses of lift system and associated lift components and knowledge-based engineering design system for heavy lift.

The lessons learnt from research and applications of different construction techniques influenced by available facilities (including yard cranes, floating crane and specialized vessels) will be elaborated to illustrate the impact on successful completion and installation of offshore structures.   Prof. Choo will review and conclude with current and future facilities for construction and installation of offshore renewable energy.

主讲人简介：

CHOO Yoo Sang教授，新加坡国立大学教授、清华大学特聘客座教授，新加坡海洋和海洋技术中心的顾问。他曾担任新加坡国立大学劳氏基金会讲座教授，是海洋工程科学与技术研究所（IMarEST）第106任院长，也是该研究所首位亚洲学者荣誉院士。新加坡国立大学海洋研究与工程中心（CORE）成立之初，CHOO Yoo Sang教授担任中心创始主任。他曾在许多国际组织的科学和技术委员会任职，负责制定或修订国际标准。他曾担任新加坡结构钢协会主席和新加坡海军建筑师和海洋工程师协会主席，获多项国际及国家奖项，包括终身成就奖、最佳论文奖及工程成就奖。
