报告摘要:
Amongst research investigations on scour around fluvial, coastal, and offshore structures, such as piers, submarine pipelines, propellers, etc., pier-scour has, by far, the longest history. Modern research investigations on pier-scour started in the mid-20th century in Europe, initially yielding simplified guidelines that were later proven non-universal. At the end of the century, European researchers proposed the term monopile scour in association with the construction of wind turbines. While monopiles resemble cylindrical piers, questions arise on whether monopile scour data merely duplicate pier-scour findings, especially as researchers often use these terms interchangeably. This seminar presents the historical development of pier-scour to modern monopile scour, examining their similarities and differences.
主讲人简介:
Chiew Yee Meng,新加坡南洋理工大学土木与环境工程学院教授(退休)。作为水利与海洋工程领域的国际著名学者,长期致力于河流、海岸和海洋环境的泥沙运动研究。迄今,在国际重要水利工程相关杂志和会议上发表论文近200篇,总引用超过8500次,H-Index达43,入选斯坦福大学全球前2%科学家榜单。曾主持或参与20余项新加坡科研项目,在桥墩冲刷、射流冲刷、涡激振荡等研究方向上提出了多个开创性的试验及理论方法。多次在重要国际学术大会做特邀报告,其研究成果被Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Physics of Fluids, Water Resources Research等国际知名期刊收录。现任Journal of Hydraulic Engineering和International Journal of Sediment Research副编辑,并在多个国际期刊担任编委。荣获多项奖项,包括美国土木工程师学会(ASCE)2021年Karl Emil Hilgard水力学奖和世界泥沙研究协会(WASER)2023年杰出贡献奖,具有广泛影响力和国际声誉。
