报告摘要:

Disaster risk reduction is crucial for achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), but increasing flood and climate hazards threaten communities and infrastructure. Current Disaster risk reduction (DRR) approaches are often siloed, overlooking complex systemic risks involving multiple drivers and social factors. To address this, innovative tools are needed for managing multi-hazard risks.This talk presents the High-Performance Integrated Modelling System (HiPIMS), which predicts surface water flooding from rainfall at high resolution across urban areas. HiPIMS solves 2D shallow water equations on multi-GPU platforms, enabling stable and detailed simulation. Recent extensions incorporate human and social dynamics, supporting systemic risk assessment and more resilient infrastructure.

 

主讲人简介:

梁秋华,1997年本科毕业于大连理工大学,2005年获英国牛津大学博士学位。此后历任英国纽卡斯尔大学讲师、资深讲师、教授,现为拉夫堡大学水工程讲席教授。长期从事计算水力学及洪涝、滑坡、泥石流等水文地质灾害模拟与风险管理研究,主持国内外重大项目20余项,累计经费逾2000万英镑。其主导研发的开源水动力模拟平台 HiPIMS 已成为国际洪水风险预测与管理的核心工具,在中国、英国、德国、日本等40多个国家和地区得到广泛应用,为政府机构和国际组织的提供防灾减灾决策支持。迄今发表SCI论文160余篇,多篇入选高被引或获奖论文。因其卓越科研贡献及社会影响力,荣获2024年第11届苏丹·本·阿卜杜勒阿齐兹亲王国际水奖(地表水类)。
