报告题目1：How do estuarine waters acidify due to biogeochemical reactions and uptake of anthropogenic CO2?

报告人：Wei-Jun Cai教授

报告人简介：Dr. Cai is an expert in marine carbon cycle and biogeochemistry. His research areas include CaCO3 dissolution and sediment diagenesis in the sea floor using microelectrodes (O2, pH and pCO2) and, since 1998, air-sea exchange of CO2 and carbon cycling in estuarine and coastal oceans. Recently, his research focuses on the responses of the coastal ocean carbon cycle and ecosystem to a changing terrestrial export of carbon and nutrients, interactions between coastal ocean acidification and other environmental stressors, mechanisms of coral calcification, and the carbon cycle and acidification in the Arctic Ocean. Dr. Cai has collaborated extensively with colleagues in China and elsewhere. Dr. Cai has published 130 peer reviewed papers and book chapters including high impact papers in Nature, Science, Nature Geoscience, and Annual Review of Marine Science. Dr. Cai’s h-index is 32 (Web of Science) or 40 (Google Scholar). 具体见附件CV。
